Just when I was trying to snap a cute but weird little Bladder fly (also called Small-headed fly) this brute of a robber fly pounced and plunged it's proboscis in.
Outer suburban back yard.
Yet to try for species on the Asilidae (robber) The bladder fly is probably Ogcodes genus... http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/126...
