Lithobates catesbeianus
Missouri's largest frog. Hind legs are marked with distinct brown bars, as seen in 2nd photo. Adult bullfrogs range in snout-vent length from 90 to 152 mm (3-6 inches).
In the state of Missouri, bullfrogs are active from about late March to October. They spend most of their time in or in close proximity to aquatic habitats like rivers, ponds, lakes, etc.
These are 3 different bullfrogs but spotted all within 10 yards of each other and photo'd in the same shooting session.

Thanks Carol!
AHHH! Great photos! So cute! I love frogs, but lack turtles sadly. Glad for the few snakes.
