Horned Tree Lizard

Acanthosaura armata

Description:

Saw this Lizard during a night walk, medium sized, around 30 cm body length (not including tail). It has spines/thorns running along its back and also on its head above the eyes. Was an interesting find and to find that it has segmented coloration on its skin; the head down to the front legs were redder than the rest of the body. However, it didn't change colors the whole time I saw it.

Habitat:

Tropical forest
