Spot-sided coreid

Description:

I found several of these in the garden. This one was feeding alongside a mason wasp. The spot-sided coreid, is a species of leaf-footed bug in the family Coreidae. The average adult is 13 mm in body length.

Habitat:

Spotted in the butterfly garden at Falcon Lake State Park.

Notes:

Feed and host on flowering plants in the mallow family.
