Description:

A small orchid that thrives in full sun.

Habitat:

Originally from SE Asia, naturalized in Hawaii. Scattered flowers seen in Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park near the caldera of the active shield volcano, Kilauea. Elevation around 4000'. Very windy.

Hi Mauna. Are you getting comment notifications or are you missing them again too? I should have gotten several on Machi's SOTD and several others. Daniele has explained why and it's no big problem. I just need to keep checking for comments. I'm just curious.
