Description:

A small compact duck with a stout, scoop-shaped bill. The head is slightly peaked and the tails are long, stiff and often hold cocked upward. Females and first-year males are brownish, and have a blurry stripe across the pale cheek patch.

Habitat:

On a small urban pond.
