Description:

Also known as Dahlia, Sand Wrasse, Gaimard's Wrasse, Red Coris Wrasse, Rainbow Wrasse and Clown Wrasse. They feed on hard shell invertebrates, and grow to a length of about 38cm.

Habitat:

Found singly over sand and rubble areas of coral reefs, at depths of 3 to 50m. Widespread in the Indo-Pacific region.
