Red-shouldered Hawk (pair)

Buteo lineatus

Description:

This pair of hawks have been in my neighborhood for a while. They usually occupy different conifers or light poles, but this day they landed on same tree and squawked a bunch before flying away. At one point one moved onto same branch as the other, thought I was going to get mating shot!

Habitat:

My street on conifer

Thanks Kathleen....another senior moment LOL!

Beautiful series!

Hi James! I see that you have the right scientific name and reference for Red-shouldered Hawk, but have just made an error in the common name. Red-shouldered Hawk is indeed your bird!
