Peacock

Pavo cristatus

Description:

Peacocks have been a real problem in Cape Canaveral for a while now. They live in neighborhoods, tear up roofs, and cause other damages. People have started putting up peacock traps to trap them and relocate them.

Yeah, I was born in Cape Canaveral and they have been in the neighborhood for as long as I can remeber. We moved from there 10 years ago, and I went back to visit today, and the population of them over there has probably doubled.

I love peacocks. I live in this tiny town up in Ontario, Canada. It's mostly a farming community, and one year several peacocks escaped from a farm. Instead of dying off, they started breeding, and now they're everywhere!
