Townsend's chipmunk

Neotamias townsendii


Townsend's chipmunk is the largest chipmunk in Washington State and is only one of two chipmunks that have long tails here with the other being the Red-tailed Chipmunk (Tamias ruficaudus), which occurs in the northeast part of the state.
