Gulf Fritillary

Agraulis vanillae

Description:

Female and Male Gulf Fritillary mating.

Habitat:

My butterfly garden.

Notes:

I released the male Gulf Fritillary (late morning), he had damaged wings and was unable to fly. A couple of hours later, to my surprise, I found him mating with a female.
