Lepidium papilliferum
Lepidium papilliferum is a rare herb found mostly in southwestern Idaho and was listed as threatened in 2009. Common names for this plant include slickspot peppergrass and Idaho pepperweed.
Found growing in a "slickspot" between big sagebrush, sandberg bluegrass and several wheatgrass species.
Slickspot peppergrass is a member of the mustard family (Brassicaceae). The "slickspots" where the plant grows are microsites of soil covered in cryptogamic crust.
