Description:

Large bird that sometimes runs to escape rather than flying. Upper body is black to dark brown with grey stripping, breast is rust colored and stripped. Some iridescence in body colors. Head is featherless with blue and/or red color. Males will display a “beard” on the chest.

Open woodland to open fields
