Marsh Harrier

Circus aeruginosus

Description:

A large brown raptor with a white head. This is either a female or a juvenile. It was photographed attacking a buzzard.

Habitat:

Marshland and farmland in the Norfolk Broads.

Notes:

A pair of these birds approached another raptor I was photographing, and they had an altercation. Eventually all four birds moved out of sight. I would very much like to know what the different species are.
