White-bellied Sea-Eagle (young adult) & Galah

Haliaeetus leucogaster

Description:

A large preditory bird, about 80 cm with a wing-span of 180-220cm. These birds are skilled hunters at sea. They can snatch fish from the ocean & also feed on other small animals & birds including carrion.

Habitat:

This bird was spotted 2 kms from the ocean in a dead tree on a cattle property. The reason I noticed him was he was being chased by crows. I didn't even notice the Galah in the shot until I got home & uploaded the pics.
