Tringa erythropus
I was saving this for my 2,000th spotting as I thought the name was rather appropriate! It was the first time I had been able to photograph one of these birds and it literally posed right in front of the hide! It is rapidly gaining its summer breeding plumage and paused at our marshes for a rest before continuing its northward migration.
