Description:

Adult beetles feed on nectar and plant juices, while larvae are predators, feeding on the grubs of long-horned beetles.

Habitat:

Woods/grassland mix

Notes:

This little dude has suffered a bit of damage on the right-hand side. It's missing some antennal segments and part of the front leg. Also known as "eyed elater" and "eastern eyed click beetle."
