Description:

Male. distinguished from female by pale eye. Photographs of nests included.

Habitat:

Grassland and Fynbos mostly along river courses. Communal nesting in reedbeds and trees. Common bird to the area and endemic. It has a harsh call, making a 'azwit, azwit' noise coupled with swizzling noises.
