Barred Owl

Strix varia

Barred owls are medium sized owls, grey- light grey/brown with dark barring and pronounced facial disks.

Native to North America, they typically live in deciduous woodlands. They are the vocalists of the well known, "who cooks for you, who cooks for you all!" call.
