The fox squirrel is the largest species of tree squirrel native to North America. It is named for its rufous-colored fur.
This curious onlooker was in a large tree beside the trail through an urban park. There are lots of oaks in the area.

I saw one yesterday . I noticed that it liked to hold it's paw up too. Just like your very cute squirrel!
