Sea-shore is its favourite place. Its foof is frogs, chameleons,earthworms,rats,etc. It waits for its prey rather than hurrying. It does not let its opponent stay in its area. Its nest is of 7-10 cm radius. Female lays 4-7 eggs during april-may

I spotted this kingfisher near my house. Surprisingly there is no water source anywhere 2km near my house. It appeared for around a week. It frequently sat on the house wall for hours. Then it disappeared and I have not seen it since then.
