This is an egg spiral laid by the nudibranch, Pteraeolidia semperi.

Notes:

There were five P. ianthina nudibranchs less than a meter away from this egg spiral. The 3rd photo shows one of them, and is included here for reference purposes. Spotted this at a depth of 5m on a reef wall.
