Coral-tailed Cloudwing

Description:

Tholymis tillarga, the Coral-tailed Cloudwing, is a medium sized orange colored dragonfly with brown and white hindwing patch. The female lacks the white patches on hindwings compared to the male. A crepuscular dragonfly, active at the time of sunset and sometimes at sunrise. This fast flying dragonfly is very difficult to follow. During midday, however, it will hang itself vertically and inactively under the leaf at shady habitats.

Habitat:

Urban garden.
