Hello Anna! This is a similar species to the Blinded Sphinx, though it can be distinguished by its darker, more brownish color and the discal dot in the middle forewing. Here's a link which compares several similar sphinxes.

Excellent spotting, annamaire! Since you know the identity of your organism, please go ahead and fill in the scientific name field. This allows the spotting to fully enter the database and become complete, letting groups and individuals to use the data and find your spotting. It also takes the spotting off the "unidentified" list. Thank you!
