Description:

blooms all year. 7 - 15: tall, full sun to 50% shade, 12 to 28 bracts, ruby red over most of bract laterally. Musoid: leaves usually green in some plants upper surface dark green with dark violet midrib and lower surface dark violet with violet mid rib, especially juveniles.

Habitat:

found near a year round running creek with very wet soil. tropical wet forest in SW Costa Rica.
