Thanks Jacob! I have to say it looked different to me too but I know there is a lot of color & pattern variation in these species.

I don't really think it is Caenurgina erechtea or Caenurgina crassiuscula because of one marking which is absent in both species. Look at the dot in the upper forewing, and then observe how there is like a "cup," which is actually a line which extends across the whole forewing.

Thanks Todd! I do see moths of both species here but this looked a little different - although of course they can be pretty variable. I think maybe the safest bet is to just say Caenurgina sp. & cover all the bases!
