it is a rare lizard found in the wet evergreen forests of the Western Ghats in South India. here is is only sighted at Nelliampathy,Athirampalli,Kodagu and Annamali hills.It is a fully green lizard.
the large scaled lizard can be seen in the dense wet evergreen forests.if one is lucky , they could see it even in the bushy areas of plantations.
