Description:

A mountain species of short-horned grasshopper (Acrididae). Female specimen.

Habitat:

Spotted along a sunny rocky path with plenty of vegetation nearby. Alt. 1500 m ASL. This mountain grasshopper lives on dry, rocky mountain meadows.

Notes:

In Germany this species is on the Red List of endangered species threatened with extinction (Category 1) .

It may be a Large Marsh Grasshopper / Mecostethus grossus is find in Europe
