Characteristics of family: •broad, shield-shaped bugs •5-segmented antennae •large, triangular scutellum; •head relatively small and often "tucked into" a concavity in anterior margin of pronotum •ocelli present (information from BugGuide)
Urban area - in a small green space next to a hotel.
These little guys were found on the underside of a sycamore leaf.
