Description:

Unusual tan shiny leather topped, flat to upturned caps about 180mm across, very clean looking white gills; pale tan to white medium thickness stipe with bulges at the base. Up to 180mm tall.

Habitat:

Among gras and pine needles in dry eucalyptus and pinus radiata semi open highway division.

Notes:

Very attractive clean looking mushrooms. The bulging base of the stipe can occur in more moist conditions. Previously known as Collybia dryophila. Previously recorded in Queensland and Western Australia. http://www.rbg.vic.gov.au/dbpages/cat/in... ID thanks TheMiesMeister

Hi there! It could be some sort of Collybia, and probably the same as your other spotting. There is a dark variety of Collybia dryophila, it's called C. dryophila var. funicularis.
