Medium sized parrot, they often hang out in groups in fig trees and other fruiting plants. This guy was picking the flowering buds of Planchonia careya for a snack.

What a gorgeous parrot. A juvenile perhaps, judging by the few flecks of green amongst the red feathers. lovely set of photos. Thanks !
