Cape fur seal

Arctocephalus pusillus

Description:

The foreflippers are covered with sparse hair over about three-quarters of their length. The hindflippers are short relative to the large body, with short, fleshy tips on the digits.

Habitat:

Rock islands off the coast of Houtbay South Africa.

Notes:

The African fur seal’s diet apparently is made of up to 70% fish, 20% squid and 2% crab.
