Solitary small mushroom about 60mm tall, 50mm across, highly upturned pileus with warped, pale grey glutinous margin, paler to white then brown stain at centre, simple white gills; pale, straight stipe with some pale brown staining mid-height.
Within a dense carpet of Casuarina needles.

OK,fine,Thanks. You gave the easy answer. Now ,what do you think the mushroom in the link is? It has been in my Id box for a long time. Clive Shirley saw it last, So you can imagine how long it has been there.

I almost ID'd this as Hygrophorpus. What are those black specks?

Hey! This looks much like some Hygrophorus species. I think you could check the local Hygrophorus species to id the specimen!
