Description:

Yellow flowers about 1 inch wide with 5 round, bright yellow petals.

Habitat:

Spotted on Tamarac NWR at the Chippewa Picnic area. It grows in deciduous woods, along streams, wet soil and meadows.

Notes:

Its flowers produce much pollen but little nectar, so it attracts pollen eating beetles, flies and bees.
