Ursula Wainscot Moth

Leucania ursula

Description:

Total length 3/4 inch. Light tan with one black dot on each wing midway down and rows of little dots at the bottom of the wings. Very hairy. Leaning toward a Wainscot.

Habitat:

Near woodlands and meadow. Attracted to light

I've never seen this one but Ursula Wainscot looks like a very good match. Nice moth and photograph!

Hi Carol
I don't think it is a Wainscot. I think it is an Approachable Sallow (Anathix aggressa 9963). What do you think?
