red-capped scaber stalk

Leccinum aurantiacum

Description:

About the size of a softball. Very squishy, I poked it and it left an indent. And it was the only one like it I saw today.

Habitat:

Marshy, swampy, under a tree-y.

Notes:

We went fishing and saw this along a atv trail.
