Augochlora Sweet Bee

Description:

Highly variable in color, some are coppery, others dark green these sweet bees live from Quebec and Maine to Minnesota, south to Texas and Florida.

Habitat:

This species is found in woodlands where it burrows in wood and under bark. The females collect pollen and deposit the pollen in the cells of it burrow for its larvae.

Notes:

The Sweet Bee is feeding off of a Black Eyed Susan
