Cheilomenes sexmaculata
These are Ladybird Beetles that i found on eggplant tree in my backyard. These Ladybird Beetles are orange-red in color, and has 6 black zigzag spots on it body. The size of each Ladybird Beetle is about 4 - 5 mm long.
- Around the garden and bushes.
- These Ladybird beetles are an insect from family Coccinellidae. They are one such important beneficial insect, because they feed on aphids (a pest that can destroy plants).
After some research, i found that they are a different species...
1) This one is the 6-Spotted Zigzag Ladybird Beetle = Cheilomenes sexmaculata...
2) The other one is the 12-Spotted Ladybird Beetle = Epilachna indica (pest)
I don't know about this ladybug...
But the other one (been beetle) is a pest. The adult, and it larvae feed on eggplant leaves...

I have a question... Is this ladybug a similar species with this one - http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/126... ?
