Black Vulture

Coragyps atratus

Description:

Black vultures are common in my area, forming large family groups. You usually see them at the side of the road, feeding on roadkill.

Notes:

This particular vulture hung out on our garage for three days and still comes back occasionally. We named him Vulture-Bob. I think he's waiting for one of us to die.
