Cepphus grylle
Red-footed guillemot would perhaps be more suitable for this medium sized alcid. This is a strictly marine bird species that gets it's name from its jet black plumage. Though most of the body is black, the black guillemot has a distinctive white patch on the inner wing. The feet are webbed (typical of aquatic birds) and legs and feet a dark red colour.
