Rana catesbeiana
It is the largest of the true frogs in North America, measuring as much as 180mm for males and 200mm for females (6-8 inches). Bullfrogs vary in color and may be green, olive tan or brown with differences in mottling and spotting. An individual's color is cryptic, it’s variation matching its surroundings at any given time appearing green while in vegetation and more brown or dark while in mud. The tympanum of the males is larger than its eye while the females tympanum is the same size or smaller. The bullfrogs hind feet are fully webbed except for the last digit on its fourth toe.
