False Tiger Moth

Description:

A medium sized, brightly coloured yellow and black moth. There were several in the vicinity.

Habitat:

Seen on the damp mud beside a small river in NE Bolivia. 575 meters.

Saturniidae27, you are quite right. I think this one is from Thailand. I meant to post another yellow one that's from Bolivia. See the next spotting. I will correct this one as soon as I find it again ! Thank you...

If I am not right The false tiger moth is a species found only in South and Southeast Asian countries such as China, India, Myanmar, Andaman Islands, Sumatra and Java, according to Wikipedia.It would be strange to find the false tiger moth in Bolivia, and for that matter any where in South America.Here is a link; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dysphania_...
