Green Lacewing

Unidentified Chrysopidae

Description:

Like all Neuroptera, this Unidentified Chrysopidae has extremely venational wings. Its entire body, as the common name suggests, is green. The eyes are dark brown (almost black) and rather bulbous. The antennae are translucent and are 1.5 times the length of its body.. There are a number of black spots on the wings, but until I find a possible match (in my search for an identification), I am ignoring them because some of these "spots" look like specks of dust and, based on my photo alone, I cannot be sure which are real "wing-spots" and which might just be specks of dust.

Habitat:

This Green Lacewing was spotted in our backyard on the terrace wall.
