Description:

Eurema sarilata aquilo Shirozu & Yata, 1982 (Pieridae; Coliadinae) occurs in Luzon and Marinduque islands in the Philippines. It looks like the other Chocolate Grass Yellow, Eurema sari obucola Fruhstorfer, 1910 which occurs in Palawan and Balabac islands. The Chocolate Grass Yellow has a distinct brown apex on the underside of the forewing which sets it apart from the other Eurema species.

Habitat:

Makiling Botanic Gardens, a forest park of the Mt. Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems (adjacent or within the UPLB-College of Forestry and Natural Resources), University of the Philippines at Los Baños, Laguna.
