Rufous Hummingbird

Selasphorus rufus

Description:

A male Rufous Hummingbird having a stretch!

Habitat:

Rufous Hummingbirds breed farther north than any other hummingbird. They spend the spring in California, the summer in the Pacific Northwest (like here in BC!), and autumn in the Rocky Mountains.
