Description:

About 5-6 mm in length, colored as shown with bronze sheen.

Habitat:

Found on sidewalk adjacent to vacant lot with grass, weeds. Natural habitat nearby is shortgrass prairie with invasive weeds.

Notes:

These beetles overwinter as adults and are probably opportunistic feeders. Their major food is supposedly seeds.
