Semipalmated Plover

Charadrius semipalmatus

Description:

non-breeding adult.

Habitat:

Seashore, beaches, surf zone. Migratory can be seen in fields, mudflats, or similar flat open areas.

Notes:

I guess there was plenty of pickings, since this little cove in Dania Beach was littered with all kind of sea debris after T. Storm Issac last weekend. If Liam sees this spotting and can confirm the ID, I would appreciate it.

Correct - too dark for Piping and Snowy and bill too small for Wilson's.
