Description:

Antennae are very short. Male wide black stigma. Underside of the hindwing is scattered with small black spots.

Habitat:

This is a city maintained retention pond. Lots of wild aster blooming.

Notes:

Returned to this pond to evaluate the impact of a two consecutive days of aerial spraying for West Nile. Water level in the retention pond is down several inches.
