Description:

This tan moth has orange and black underwings. There were a dozen of them on the trail in full sun at 11 in the morning.

Habitat:

On Salt Heliotrope on dirt trail lined by tall grass. The range is "British Columbia south to Arizona and New Mexico and SE United States" - BugGuide

Notes:
