Capricorn Beetle

Cerambyx sp.

Description:

Very large black, or very dark brown beetle, largest I've seen in Europe. Didn't manage to measure it, but it must have been 5 cm in lenght or more. Looks very similar to Cerambyx miles, but the antennas look different, though it's the same length as C. miles should have.

Habitat:

Urban settlement not far from mixed protected ancient forest, time was around 22:00.
